Companies in the beverage industry have been familiar with this issue for years: Until now, cleaning empty cans required manual or semi-automatic adjustments to the rinse channel and manual replacement of the infeed and outfeed reversers when changing formats – resulting in incomplete line availability and often lengthy changeover times.
With the new fully automatic empty can rinser from Whystler Automation, these format changeover challenges are a thing of the past. The adjustments are made automatically via a PLC HMI panel on the rinser, ensuring 100% line availability, eliminating changeover times, and enabling the cleaning of countless formats.
Special feature: Electric adjustment
The selection of varieties for the respective can format is done via a PLC HMI panel directly at the machine.
In the infeed and outfeed, as well as in the drain channel, height and diameter adjustment are controlled by separately operated electric drives. The drain channel combines 3D-printed plastic and stainless steel guides, and the fully adjustable can turners eliminate the need for format parts in the infeed and outfeed.

Fully automatic infeed turner consisting of:
- Durable frame made of 1.4301 stainless steel
- Lateral guide rails made of highly stable, smooth-gliding 3D-printed plastic
- Stainless steel guide rail for guiding the sharp-edged can crimp
- Millimeter-precise adjustment for all common can sizes from 150 ml to 568 ml
- 24V DC, individually controllable linear actuators made of stainless steel for precise positioning of the guide rails
- Picks up the can from the conveyor belt, turns it 135°, and transfers it into the drain channel

- Lateral guide rails made of high-friction materials
- Stainless steel guide rail for guiding the sharp-edged can crimp
- Millimeter-precise adjustment for all common can sizes from 150 ml to 568 ml

- Cans are picked up from the infeed turner, precisely rinsed with cold water, and then transferred to the outfeed turner
